I Hid in Snow Globe

I have wanted this dress, titled "Queen of Snow ~Fragment of Eternity~ I Hid in Snow Globe" (a mouthful, I know), for *years* and I so happy to have finally acquired it secondhand! (I'm proud to say that every "new" addition to my wardrobe has been secondhand!) I cannot emphasize enough how much it feels good to create less demand and a more sustainable practice for my hobby :)

I treated myself to a small lunch to remind myself of the konbini I visited in Japan. A vegan ramen and bottle of black tea was just what I needed! It was honestly the most delicious lunch I had in a while. I am definitely going to get more!

It's not wrong to treat yourself once and a while. I think it's healthy, even. I heard on the radio that buying yourself a gift improves self-esteem and is good recognition for the hard work you do every day. Again, I'm glad that I'm unlearning the performance aspect of lolita and figuring out the true meaning behind hobbies and interests. If it makes you feel beautiful and worthy, do it!

OTT Sweet for Home

Did I dress up in an OTT sweet coord just to stay home today during a snowstorm? Yes, yes I did! Throughout my years of being a lolita (6 years now) I am now just starting to unlearn and embrace the "performance" aspect of coording. No, you don't need to post every coord you make. No, you don't have to go out nor spend money when you wear lolita. You are allowed to wear lolita at home just because! I decided today that the most important reasons why I wear lolita fashion are:

1. It makes me feel beautiful. I feel beautiful this way

2. Lolita fashion is a form of self-care for me. Let me explain! Feeling beautiful in my own skin (and petticoat) encourages me to take care of my body and my health

In all honesty, I love this jumperskirt! It's everything I want my ideal wardrobe to look like; I love the design and it's so comfy. It doesn't look too OTT from the photo, but it did in real life. My eighteen year-old self would be so proud of me!! (Eighteen was when I discovered the fashion :))

Celebrating Snowfall

Today I decided to honor this year's first snowfall by wearing AP's Lovely Snow Fantasy OP. I wanted to honor this OP's iridescence and fluffy faux fur collar, so I chose iridescent hair pins, a KC with fluffy lace, and peeking bloomers. I initially thought that my wig would stick out like a sore thumb, but I think it worked out very well in the end!

To be honest, this is the most beautiful I have felt in a while. I rarely if ever feel beautiful, but lolita fashion makes me feel like I am. I feel my most confident when I'm in lolita. I think that is part of the beauty of fashion!

Overall, I really enjoyed wearing this coord. I just wish that I chose not to wear my binder; it got uncomfortable rather quickly (´-﹏-`;)

A Day in the Country

A day in the country was just what I needed. Since it was cold and I didn't want to draw too much attention to myself, I opted for a casual coord with this OP. I felt so cute in it and I surprisingly wasn't cold! I get cold easily, so I'm glad I didn't end up with goosebumps.

I got so many compliments, from the coffee shop to the stores we visited for a little shopping! I'm so happy when people like what I wear, but I still get so flustered when they ask me about it. I don't know what to say! I hope I still come off as kind, though.

This was just what I needed for a little refresh. I'm so glad my family and I went!!
